MANILA/TAIPEI, Feb 14 (Reuters) – The Philippines will elevate a journey ban it had imposed on guests from Taiwan in a bid to regulate the unfold of the coronavirus, a senior Philippine official and Taiwan’s official information company mentioned on Friday.
The transfer follows a warning by Taipei of potential retaliation in opposition to the ban.
The Philippine official informed Reuters the choice had been made however declined to be named till the settlement was signed. Taiwan’s Central Information Company cited an unnamed supply within the Philippines as saying the ban could be lifted.
