WASHINGTON, Feb 13 (Reuters) – The White Home expects President Donald Trump’s two nominees for the Federal Reserve Board, Judy Shelton and Christopher Waller, to win Senate affirmation, a spokesman mentioned on Thursday, disputing a report that Shelton’s nomination could be pulled.
“The nominations of Judy Shelton and Christopher Waller are usually not being pulled,” White Home spokesman Judd Deere mentioned on Twitter. “Each had been in entrance of the (Senate) Banking Committee at present and the White Home expects each to be confirmed by the Senate to the Federal Reserve.”
After a listening to at which Shelton confronted skeptical questioning, three Republicans on the panel mentioned she had not absolutely eased their issues. In the event that they had been to vote in opposition to her, it could probably sink her nomination. (Reporting by Makini Brice; Writing by Tim Ahmann; Modifying by Eric Beech)
